To pass the time, I thought I'd share my favorite spots on the internet to get new recipes (or ideas about recipes) from:

http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ -- Especially brilliant for any working parents out there! She focuses a lot on efficiency, pre-planning, and posts pictures + "recipes" for her kids' lunches every single day. She is also a "real" food blogger, meaning that she tries to avoid highly processed foods, food dye, etc. Downside: her and her commenters can be extremely judgmental about other people's food choices and it infuriates me. Not everyone can afford (money-wise, time-wise, etc) to eat "real" or "clean" (such loaded, judgmental terms)!

http://www.benandbirdy.blogspot.com/ Such a beautiful blog with delicious, wonderful recipes. There's only upsides to this one, the main one being that the woman who writes it is a feminist parent!

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/ Ah, Ree Drummond. My old stand-by. Her recipes are consistently delicious, no exceptions. Not always the healthiest, but always the tastiest.

And then of course, http://foodgawker.com/ which wonderfully compiles food posts from blogs all across the vast internet landscape for your viewing pleasure!

On Wisconsin!

This Sunday, I get to wear a cheaply made black gown, smile for cameras, and finally graduate from college and enter the world of being an administrative assistant with lots of free time. I'm afraid that I'll let the free time get sucked away by television and dicking around on the internet and general anxious avoidance of life, so to remedy this I'm trying to make a routine. One where I do yoga every day and lots of cartooning and collaging and other artsy things. Included in that routine is continuing to expand my cooking and baking repertoire and regularly updating my blog (do not fear -- I have quite a bit of "backed up" material that I just haven't found the time to post yet).

I am so excited to be back! Keep an eye out for new updates next week...

Apartment Tour: Round Two!

The apartment is constantly changing. Some days I come home and there's new furniture that was picked-up roadside, so I thought I'd add new pictures to show the apartment now that we've been settled in for six months. I'll make another post at a year!
